世界已經漸漸地在淘汰現金交易了。提倡一個無現金交易的社會有許多讓人不得不同意的理由。其主要原因之一是，現金為毒品走私者交易的便利通道，他們通常以一箱箱的現金做交易。沒有了現金就能阻擋非法的販毒行為。事實上，法務界人士認為消除現金制度將會消除許多犯罪行為。
