5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

– You can’t help wondering if the famines (economics), and pestilences (conditions and manmade), and earthquakes (man playing God) are on the same level as something that mankind is doing, and that they are not altogether acts of God thrown in for good measure. The whole shebang is mankind’s and the finger points at us and not God.

Mercy is our best hope, Jesus is our best hope. – The arm of flesh will fail us, mankind will fail us, Jesus will never fail, Love never fails, mercy never fails, will never fail or cease to exist.

SOMEHOW is a big word, and God willing it so, SOMEHOW we will find the strength, and the wisdom and the way through.

What we have these days is a climate of fear of just that (rumours of wars), a massive growing by the day rumour of a great upheaval and war that is to come, all kinds of speculation as to how and when it will happen, who and what is behind it, each argument backed up by all kinds of stories both real and imagined, exaggerations, fabrications, all backed up by so called truth and that some one said this and someone said that, so and so told me what he saw and what he heard.

A rumour is something that may or may not be true – and Im sure I have heard of the expression rumour-monger – rumours of a fight that is to come or something, that there is a bully in the playground of this world and that he said so and so and that the fight is set to happen in so and such a place, that they will have knives, that they will have guns, that so and so is on his side now and so and so is not. Even if it was not really going to happen, you can guarantee that it will now happen due to the venomous hatred and the malicious gossip, the fabrication, the exaggeration, the ill will, the sensationalisation, the out right lies, the Chinese whispering game going on, the gossip, the stirrers – You name it, it will all be thrown into the pot, the gas will get turned up and the pot will no doubt be bubbling at full heat and will be in a bubbling frenzy along with whats stuck on the bottom of the pot, it will be bubbling over and there will be smoke, and if left to its own devices there will be fire and the house will go up if flames with it.

Heres the reliable words of Jesus on these matters, (all being said we can still rely upon the words of Jesus and for sequels to events even).

Matthew chapter 24 verses 6 to 9

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 ¶ Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. Mt. 10.22

On a brighter note – When ye shall begin to see these things come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

We will always have Jesus and there will always be a way through and then up and out of the tribulation, through, throughout and then up up and up up up and away with Jesus.
