People--even many Christians--talk about the Jews as being the Elect or "Chosen People of God!" But according to both Old and New Testament Scriptures, ANYONE, regardless of race (whether Jew or Gentile) or color or creed, is entitled to become God’s child, or the Offspring of God, and thus inherit His spiritual Heavenly Kingdom, not just a piece of land called Palestine.
The only way anyone can ever become a child of God, and be part of His Elect or "chosen people", is by receiving Jesus Christ in their hearts! (Have you?)
John 1:12 …as many (people) as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
To receive Jesus, all you have to do, is to simply pray and ask Him to come into your heart. He says:
"Look! I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock! If anyone hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come inside of him (or her). And I will have communion with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20
You can receive Jesus right now by simply saying the following words to Him: "Jesus, I know I made mistakes. Forgive me for my sins, and please come into my heart. Thank you for giving me your gift of Eternal Life! In Jesus' name, I pray! Thank you!"
If you said this prayer from you heart, Jesus is now inside of you, and He will never leave you, even though we will never be perfect in this life, and will keep making mistakes for the rest of our lives! That’s precisely why He came, to save SINNERS from Hell and themselves! Nobody can be too bad for Jesus! Only too good!
Now you have inherited "Eternal Life!" You are signed up for Heaven, which means that you can never perish anymore. You will always be saved and stay saved, no matter what happens, or what you do or don’t do. Eternal Life is eternal, for eternity, otherwise He would have called it temporary life, not ETERNAL! God is not an Indian giver! (Sorry Indians! Expression!)
ETERNAL LIFE
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God has (already) given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1 John 5:12 He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
So you own the gift of Eternal Life now! By faith! And you can never loose it! It is by grace!
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone pluck them out of my hand.Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Jesus also said that those who believe on Him and receive His spirit in their hearts, are re-born or "born again.", meaning we are born the second time. The first time we were born physically as baby from our parents, but the second time spiritually, as a Child of God! You are now God’s Baby! And He will take good care of you, as the good Parent that He is, does!
BEING "BORN AGAIN"
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say to you,
Except a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man is born
of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God.
John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7
Marvel not that I said to you, You must be born again!
John 3:8
The wind blows where it lists, and you hear the sound thereof, but
cannot tell where it comes from, and where it goes: so is everyone
that is born of the Spirit.
BEING THE SONS OF GOD!
Romans 8:14
…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.
Romans 8:19
…the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation
of the sons of God.
Philippians 2:15
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world;
1 John 3:1
Look, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that
we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us
not, because it knew him not.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not
yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when
he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him
as he is.
