2. JESUS' WARNING SIGNS OF THE TIMES

Never before in history have there been so many earthquakes in so short a timeframe! Never before in history has the world been so violent as during the last 100 years!
Never before so many millions dying of starvation, famine and civil war Uinversal wars for the first time in history this last century killed nearly half a billion people!

"YOUR COMING & THE END OF THE WORLD?"
When Jesus' disciples wanted to know the future and asked Him: "What shall be the sign of Thy Coming and of the end of the world?", He didn't reply with just one sign, but with dozens! In fact, the Bible gives us hundreds of "signs of the times", clues and signals that we are to look out for so that we can know exactly how close to the very End we are! Signs which are all obviously being fulfilled today, much more than ever before!
Jesus' signs predicted an upsurge in wars, famines, pestilences (epidemics), a rise in the number of earthquakes in many different places, a mounting wave of deception by false Christs, false prophets & the occult and also an increased treading on the human rights of His followers in outright violent & even government- sponsored persecutions!
Jesus predicted that the present increase of worldwide "iniquity"--crime, violence, sin, perversion, abuse and all kinds of evil--would cause that "the love of many would grow cold!", but also that "the Gospel would be preached in all the World for a witness to all nations" like never before! Mat. 24:6-14
Other Bible predictions about our time are: a drastic increase in human travel and speed of travel, with "many running to and fro, wandering from sea to sea", "the chariots racing through the streets like lightning, jostling" --or crashing -- "each other", Nahum 2:3,4 while "knowledge is greatly increased." Dan.12:4; Amos 8:11,12 Also predicted is a great "falling away" 2Th.2:3 from the Lord, as "evil men and seducers grow worse and worse, deceiving many". 2Ti.3:13-- "and signs in the sun, moon, and stars", resulting in "distress of nations upon the Earth and men's hearts failing them for fear!" Lk.21:25,26
Obviously all these Signs could have only been fulfilled...today!--More than in any other era! But do we see them at all?
In Jesus' days, when His religious enemies challenged Him to show them a sign from heaven, He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red'; and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times."
How about us? Modern technology has vastly improved our ability to forecast the weather, but are we any less blind to the ominous signs all around us of our times in which we are now living?

"…the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings. Nahum 2:3,4
